Who We Are ● Calvary is a suburban congregation located just east of the crossroads of West St. Joe Highway and South Creyts Road in DeltaTownship just west of Lansing. We are just ½ mile north of the Creyts Road exit on Interstate 496 or 2 miles southwest of the Interstate 96/69 Saginaw Highway East exit. ● Calvary is a regional congregation, welcoming members and visitors from throughout the area. These communities include:DeltaTownship,Lansing, Grand Ledge, Holt, Okemos,Charlotte, and Dimondale. ● Calvary is a multigenerational congregation with people of all ages! This is reflected in activities, ministries and opportunities that span the ages. ● Calvary is a welcoming congregation. We have folks who are life long residents of the area as well as people who have moved into our communities from all around the country. Those new to the area may find new friends through worship, fellowship and service opportunities. ● Calvary is an active congregation. Many of our ministries take place outside our walls, as we share Christ’s love with others in the greater community. ● Calvary is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, (ELCA) a faith tradition that is open to all, regardless of background. The ELCA is almost five million members strong, with congregations across the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Calvary is one of over 10,000 ELCA congregations. ● Calvary is a missional congregation: - We are proud to be part of the ELCA, a global church which is committed to growing in diversity and strengthening its global, ecumenical and interfaith relationships around the world. - Calvary is in partnered with Christian Services and Sparrow’s Nest . We are also connected globally through the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea and ELCA World Hunger. - Calvary is a strong supporter of our the Siren-Eaton Shelter, the Lansing City Rescue Mission, the Christ Lutheran Soup Kitchen, Lutheran Social Services of Michigan and many other ministries.
